Our Story

Kelly, Director of All Sorts

After witnessing my own Grandfathers sad journey through his Alzheimers diagnosis and illness, I developed a passion for improving dementia services and supporting people to live well with dementia. I went on to achieve my diploma in Health and Social Care Services with Hertfordshire University and started to work in a variety of nursing teams for the elderly including hospital wards, residential care and community settings. After spending 8 years working in The NHS East Herts Early Memory Diagnosis and Support Service, visiting carers and people having received a new diagnosis of dementia I realised that there was a very real need for people with early-moderate memory problems to have somewhere they can go and feel a part of something proactive, social and stimulating that they felt they could fit into. I then went on to train in Cognitive Stimulation Therapy before opening my first group.

All Sorts continues to be something the team and I are incredibly proud of and we will ensure we continue to provide an excellent service for people with dementia in our community.
